This was the second year of my comeback! I didn't do many serious efforts, but I'm trying to enter the big ones with vigor. I entered many events just to "hand out a few QSOs to the deserving" but work demands keep me from doing more.

The ARRL DX CW contest was a limited effort. I played for a few hours and did well during that time, but I had to board a plane on Sunday morning to begin a European business trip. I wanted to try leaving early for Europe and work the contest from the other side of the pileup, but the stars couldn't align.

The SSB weekend of the ARRL DX Contest was a different story. A tough week leading up to the contest and more business trips the following mandated more sleep time than I would have done otherwise. My awake hours, however, were all contest time! Ahhh!! It felt good and the results showed it with my fifth Top Ten finish!

The CQWW SSB Contest was another great TOP TEN finish. In the final scores, I am #6 SOA in the US!

It felt good to put in a strong effort for the PA QSO Party and the two CQWW DX contests. All three are among my favorite events!
