I worked the highest number of contests (even to this day) in 1997, with a total of 19 events. Many were casual efforts, but I was pretty serious about contesting at this point. I joined the Frankford Radio Club the prior year with the sponsorship of K3II and K3PH. This club is PASSIONATE about contesting and this passion helped to further infect me with the bug.
